Privacy Policy

Effective 9 October 2026

Who we are

This policy explains how Discovered Markets LLC ("Discovered Markets", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through discoveredmarkets.com. Discovered Markets LLC is a limited liability company organised in the Commonwealth of Virginia, with its principal place of business at 29805 US Hwy 24, PMB 362, Buena Vista, Colorado 81211, USA.

Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to hello@discoveredmarkets.com.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us through the website, plus a small amount of technical information:

  • Contact and sample audit forms: your name, email address, organisation, organisation type and the message you write.
  • Newsletter signup: your email address.
  • Preliminary scan: your name, email address, organisation name, website, organisation type, sectors, target audience and the challenge you describe.
  • Technical information: to protect our forms from automated abuse we store a one-way, salted hash of your IP address (not the address itself), and for scan requests your browser's user agent string.
  • Usage information: Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location and your device and browser type.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and follow up on your request.
  • To generate and email the preliminary scan you asked for.
  • To send you our newsletter, if you signed up for it.
  • To detect and block spam and automated abuse of our forms.
  • To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

For visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract (enquiries and scans), your consent (newsletter), and our legitimate interests in running a secure, working website (abuse prevention and analytics).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We use the following service providers, who process information on our behalf and only for the purposes described here:

  • Vercel hosts this website and renders scan reports as PDFs.
  • Supabase stores form submissions and scan requests, and runs the code that processes them.
  • Resend sends our emails to you and our internal notifications.
  • Google Analytics measures how the website is used.
  • Google Cloud (Vertex AI) generates the preliminary scan from the details you submit and public information about your organisation.
  • Tavily searches the public web for information about the organisation named in a scan request.
  • PDFShift converts scan reports to PDF when our primary renderer is unavailable.
  • Google Calendar handles bookings made through our appointment scheduler.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Where it is processed

We and our service providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred there.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries, scan requests and newsletter signups for as long as we need them to respond to you, maintain our relationship with you and keep proper business records, and we delete them sooner if you ask. Submissions our systems identify as spam are kept only to help block further abuse.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw any consent you have given. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@discoveredmarkets.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

The website itself does not set cookies. Google Analytics does, to distinguish visitors and sessions, and Google's appointment scheduler, shown on some pages, may set its own.

You choose whether Analytics may set cookies using the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your mind at any time through the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked before any Analytics cookies are set; elsewhere they are on until you decline. If you decline, Analytics sets no cookies and we remove the ones it already set. Google may still receive basic signals that a page was viewed, without cookies or identifiers, which it uses only to estimate overall traffic. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.

Security

Information is sent to us over encrypted connections and stored with access restricted to the services that need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what you share with us.

Children

This website is intended for professionals and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised.
